TCCE presents: Inside Out Festival: How to get involved

Event Details

Date:
23rd May, 2012
Time:
3.30pm – 5.30pm followed by drinks
Venue:
Screening Room, (Embankment Level), Somerset House

TCCE established the highly diverse and successful Inside Out Festival in 2009 when we were still LCACE.

The aim of the festival is to showcase the enormous contribution that TCCE member institutions make to the public life of the capital. As well as capturing the attention of the media and having solid media partnerships in place such as Times Higher, the festival really is a wonderful opportunity for the academic body from world renowned professors to emergent researchers, to engage in new conversations and formats and to develop innovative approaches to engaging their research beyond the confines of the academic community.

Details on the last Inside Out festival can be found here.

Furthermore the festival has had events hosted by some of the key cultural organisations in the capital including Tate, NPG, British Academy, Somerset House and the RSA to name a few.

If you would like to be involved in showcasing your research, feel that it could translate well to a public setting and are prepared to do the  work to make that happen, we would invite you to join us. This event will detail the next steps in getting involved. You will also hear from people who have previously produced events as part of the festival. The festival is a fabulous umbrella event but please note that we don’t have the resources to provide funding for activities. We do however promote activities and provide support where we can. If you are a TCCE academic or professional staff and you would like to join us, please rsvp to heather@tcce.co.uk by 16th May. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you are a cultural organisation and would like to attend  or host a festival event, please get in touch with Evelyn Wilson by email in the first instance at evelyn@tcce.co.uk.
