By Rebecca Lenkiewicz Director Martin Wylde Designer Manuela Harding Performed by MA Acting Contemporary students The Commune is an examination of relationships; who we love and why we love them. What is projected and what is real? Set on a modern-day commune in Wales, it follows the lives of 15 young people who for various reasons have decided to opt out of conventional living. Can living communally work? Is altruism real or is the selfish gene innate? Do the decisions we make matter anyway? The comic and tragic hopes of the group unravel over a few hot summer nights. Are people meant to be together or is that simply a remnant of caveman mentality?

Central alumna Rebecca Lenkiewicz returns to work with the MA Acting students on this specially commissioned new play.
