Join Professor Frances Corner OBE in conversation with Simon Ward, Chief Operating Officer of the British Fashion Council.
Simon Ward was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the British Fashion Council in May 2010. Prior to that he was Joint Chief Executive from April 2009 and Head of Operations from 2006. He has worked on London Fashion Week since 1986, with particular responsibility for the catwalk shows including show scheduling. Simon was part of the team that created the British Fashion Awards in 1989 and he set up the BFC Colleges Council in 1990. He has overseen the establishment and development of the BFC’s New Generation and Fashion Forward sponsorship schemes, establishing BFC’s Business Support programme and with responsibility for the day to day management and finances of the BFC including support from governmental agencies. Married with two children, Simon’s interests include music, film, cycling and gardening.
