Daniel Meadows will be in conversation with photojournalist Dr Paul Lowe about his long career as a photographer, documentarian and digital storyteller. Meadows will also be screening an exclusive selection of his short films throughout. This event coincides with the retrospective exhibition Daniel Meadows: Early Photographic Works, curated by Val Williams and showing at London College of Communication in the Upper, Well and Atrium galleries until 31 October.

Over the last forty years Daniel Meadows has produced an astonishing record of urban Britishsociety, working in a uniquely collaborative way, through photography, digital stories and recorded interviews, to capture extraordinary aspects of everyday life. His work includes the series; The Free Photographic OmnibusJune Street (made with Martin Parr), Nattering in Paradise and National Portraits: Now and Then. Publications include; Living Like This: Around Britain in the Seventies (1975), Nattering in Paradise: Suburbia in the 1980’s (1988) and Daniel Meadows: Edited Photographs from the 70s and 80s (2011).

Paul Lowe is an award-winning photojournalist living and working between Sarajevo and London and Course Director of the MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at London College of Communication. His work has been published in Time, Newsweek, Life, The Sunday Times and The Observer. His most recent book, The Siege of Sarajevo,was published by Galerija 11 07 95 in 2014.
