This academic year marks 100 years of teaching women in engineering at LSBU. We will be celebrating this milestone with a year of events & activities beginning with this launch event. Each month, we will be looking back on our history through to where we are today.
You’ll learn about some of the incredible women who studied at LSBU over the last ten decades and meet some of our current students & staff who are undertaking fascinating research, teaching future generations of women in engineering and changing the world.
We’ll also look at the importance of encouraging young women to study STEM subjects as we explore and challenge some of the barriers they often face, and the perceptions they have of the engineering world.
This event is for those interested in equality, diversity & inclusion, a range of engineering & tech disciplines and engineering research & education.
